Miss Lemon was a wonderful and informative companion for my private tour to Greenway House. My whole day was magical , as I did the Agatha Christie walking tour in the morning with Graham who was also an excellant guide. Miss Lemon (Maria) made my mum's birthday so special with her private tour to Burgh Island. She picked us up directly from our hotel with ice cold bottles of lemon water ready for us and gave us so much information and history about the area and Agatha Christie as she drove us to the island. She delivered us to the hotel where she gave us more history and stories, introduced us to the hotel manager and dropped us off at our afternoon tea which she had arranged directly with the hotel (and accomodating our vegan and pescetarian dietary requirements) We had the loveliest time, all the staff were so friendly and it didn't feel stuffy or exclusive at all in there! We finished our time there with a dip in the sea before Miss Lemon drove us back to the hotel (via Cockington to see the inspiration for St Mary Mead!) Mum said it was the best birthday she'd had in a long time! Miss Lemon went above and beyond to give us both such a special day. I had watched movie adaptations of several of her books related to Burgh island but that was about it.
